Privacy
No accounts and no logins. Here is exactly what is collected, why, and how the site pays for itself.
What the site itself stores. Your light/dark choice and your last Quick Find selection are kept in your browser's local storage so they are still there next visit. They never leave your device.
Analytics. To see which plans people use and where the site is confusing, SiteRep uses:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) — page views, how people arrive (search, Reddit, direct), country and device type. Their privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — anonymised session recordings and heatmaps — where people click and scroll, where they get stuck. Sensitive input is masked by default. Their privacy policy.
- PostHog (PostHog Inc. (US cloud)) — product events and funnels (for example, how many people who open Quick Find reach a plan) and anonymised session replays. Their privacy policy.
Events are coarse: searches opened, results and Quick Find plans opened, issue reports sent, and clicks on the support link. None of these analytics tools is used to build an advertising profile.
Visitors in Europe. If your browser is set to a European time zone, or Google detects you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, nothing is stored on or read from your device until you choose otherwise in Google's consent message. Until then the analytics tools run in cookieless mode and any ads are non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time from the "Privacy and cookie settings" link that message adds to the page.
Advertising. SiteRep shows ads from Google AdSense to keep the site free. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, including ads based on your earlier visits to this and other sites. You can turn personalised ads off in Google's Ad Settings or at aboutads.info, and read how Google uses data from sites that show its ads.
Everyone else. Outside Europe these tools set first-party analytics cookies so a returning visit can be told apart from a new one. Any content blocker stops them and the site keeps working the same. Google also offers an opt-out browser add-on.
Issue reports. When you send a "Report issue" form, your message, the page it was about and (only if you enter one) your email are emailed to the developer so the mistake can be fixed and, if you asked, answered. They are not used for anything else.
Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, user agent, requested path) for security. They are not used to build any profile.
Support links. "Support on Ko-fi" takes you to Ko-fi. Tips are handled by Ko-fi and its payment processor under their terms; SiteRep never sees card details.
Questions or requests. Use the form and choose "Something else".
If what is collected changes, this page changes before the change ships.
